In het multifunctionele informatiepunt, wordt met moderne technieken de geschiedenis van de omgeving van het landgoed De Barkel verteld. Verder zijn er documenten, voorwerpen, naslagwerk, literatuur en magazines te vinden die in relatie staan tot cultuurhistorie, archeologie en natuurbeheer. Bijzonder is de grafheuvel reconstructie in de fraai aangelegde tuin met historische beplanting.
